Barry Lowenthal is the President of The Media Kitchen, a kbs+ partner. A veteran of the media business with 25+ years under his belt. Barry has worked in just about every category including luxury goods, financial services, entertainment, consumer electronics and spirits.
Under Barry’s leadership The Media Kitchen diversified and grew its client base as well as its staff and built an industry recognized digital media capability. In 2008 Barry co-founded Madison Avenue’s first trading desk called Varick Media Management.
A graduate of University of Maryland (BGS) and Baruch College (MBA), Barry believes the best education in this business comes from staying close to consumers and keeping abreast of emerging technologies. To that end, he considers himself a media anthropologist and is obsessed with new ways to construct communications plans.
Barry has been published in leading industry periodicals including Adweek, Mediapost, Digiday, The Economist Group, and Adexchange. He was also recognized as a Media All Star.
